Harnett County, N.C. (May 30, 2013) – Coats Medical Clinic today announced that the practice has partnered with Harnett Health, and as of June 1 will be named Coats Medical Services.

“The transition to Coats Medical Services is exciting for me and our team,” remarked Linda Robinson, MD. “We welcome the opportunity to be part of Harnett Health and the healthcare system’s expanding slate of programs and services. Being part of a growing healthcare system allows us to continue to focus on quality patient care while having the support of a network of facilities. Being part of Harnett Health has allowed us to add providers and increase services to give area residents more access to quality local care. “

The office remains in the same location at 25 N. Johnson Street in Coats and, with the exception of closing from Noon to 1 p.m. for lunch, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Harnett Health is growing to meet the healthcare needs of our community,” said Harnett Health President and CEO Ken Bryan.  “We welcome the providers, staff and patients of Coats Medical Clinic to Harnett Health and look forward to strengthening and building long-term relationships in the Coats community.”

Harnett Health will add a physician to the practice, Brian Carty, MD, board certified in Internal Medicine, to work along with long-time physicians in the practice, Linda Robinson, MD, board certified in Family Medicine and Christopher Stewart, MD, board certified in Internal Medicine. Three physician assistants also see patients in the practice: Gerald Brenneman, PA-C; Brandy Embry, PA-C; and Richard Temblador, PA-C. In addition to these providers, Harnett Health will add a registered nurse(RN) and two licensed practical nurses (LPN) to care for patients.

“Coats Medical Services offers the full scope of primary care, including family medicine, internal medicine and pediatric services,” commented Harnett Health Physician Practices Director Nancy Stamey. “The providers care for all ages of patients and are ready to serve you and your family. The practice is also working toward certification in the Patient-Centered Medical Home program , a program that is patient-centered and focused on highly coordinated care and long-term relationships.”

Patients of Coats Medical Clinic automatically will be patients of Coats Medical Services. The providers are also accepting new patients.
