Community Needs

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act requires nonprofit hospitals to conduct Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) and make these reports accessible to the public. Harnett Health is pleased to make available the results of the 2013 CHNA as well as our 2014 Implementation Plan.

Conducting these assessments and making them available to the public meets our obligations under these new federal requirements.  The CHNA describes the health status of Harnett Health’s community based on publicly available data and surveys of community members representing broad and diverse perspectives regarding the community’s health needs.

More than that, the Plan reflects Harnett Health’s long-standing commitment to working with people in our communities to identify and address the most urgent health needs in the communities we serve.
