Harnett Health has received national recognition for the fifth time in just over a year for excelling in patient safety and care. Today, June 7th, Harnett Health’s Betsy Johnson Hospital was ranked #59 nationally by Washington Monthly Magazine and their new “Top 100 For Best Safety Net Hospitals” list.

This makes the fifth national award or recognition that a Harnett Health facility or service line has received in just over a year from four independent organizations. These awards have all focused on excellence in patient safety, care, and efficiency of care provided to patients. This includes both of the Leapfrog Group “A’s”, the Healthgrades Patient Safety Award in 2019, the Medicare.gov Hospital Scores four-star rating, and the latest recognition by Washington Monthly Magazine.

“To be continually nationally recognized by independent organizations for the level of care that we are providing to our patients is truly rewarding” said Harnett Health President Cory Hess. “This recognition is a testament to how dedicated our staff is to providing top tier medical services to patients right here in Harnett County.”
