About Us

Premiere Pediatrics provides outstanding medical care for children from birth to 21 years of age. All care is provided by our board certified pediatricians and certified family nurse practitioner. We have an exemplary staff that is focused on providing the best care to your children. 

We have providers that specialize in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics as well as offer a comprehensive Asthma Clinic with in-house spirometry testing. Our services include: Wellness exams, sports physicals, vaccinations, ADHD exams, asthma exams, frenulectomy (tongue clipping), circumcisions, behavioral and mental health exams, and on-site point-of-care testing and lab services.

In addition to our in-office care, our physicians also care for the newborns in the nursery and children on the pediatric floor at Betsy Johnson Hospital. They are also accessible by phone on evenings and weekends when the clinic is closed. 

We’re here when you need us, and we’re a resource as your children grow and change. Our practice offers convenient access for sick children by allowing same day visits and walk-ins when necessary. We also open every day at 7:30am to provide early morning visits before school and work hours.

We ask that you complete the enclosed paperwork in full prior to your appointment time or at the first visit.

In order to provide our patients with the best care in a timely manner, we ask that you be on time for your appointment. Please give our office 24 hour notice if you will be unable to make your scheduled appointment time.  If you are late, your appointment will be rescheduled. Repeated “no shows” will result in dismissal from the practice.

Our providers are:

Raid Kamil, MD

Premiere Pediatrics

Dr. Kamil joined our practice on June 16, 2014.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and earned his medical degree at the University of Graz, Austria, where he also completed his residency.  He completed his pediatric residency at the Marshfield Clinic, St. Joseph’s Hospital Pediatrics Residency Program and has been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.  Additionally, he has served as a Research Fellow with the University of Alabama at Birmingham on four research projects.  He is fluent in English, German and Arabic.

Michelle Messer, CPNP

Premiere Pediatrics

Michelle Messer has been a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with Premiere Pediatrics since April 2008.  She worked as an RN at Duke Medical Center from 1992 to 1999.  Afterwards she was a PNP at Catawba Pediatrics in Hickory, NC from 1999 to 2002.  For 5 years she worked as a PRN in the newborn nursery at Harnett Health, eventually taking a full-time position at Premiere Pediatrics when the practice opened.  She graduated from the UNC Chapel Hill Graduate School for Nursing, where she also completed her undergraduate education.
