DUNN, NC. –   Betsy Johnson Hospital has received recognition once again for excellence in patient safety and patient safety preventative measures. This time the recognition comes from the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award™.

The Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recognizes hospitals for their excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stay. The hospitals that receive this award are in the top 10% in the nation for patient safety. Patient safety measures how well a hospital prevents injuries, infections and other serious conditions based on 14 serious, potentially preventable adverse events

“As I have said before, at Harnett Health patient safety and well being is our number one priority. To be recognized not only once, but twice this year for patient safety is something that we take tremendous pride in. Healthgrades only recognizes the top 10% of hospitals nationally for patient safety, and to be on this list is a great honor” said Harnett Health President Cory Hess.

“There are over one hundred hospitals in North Carolina and only eighteen of them received this award. To be the only hospital in a fifty mile radius to receive this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication that our staff brings to work every day. This award highlights only a portion of the excellence that Harnett Health has to offer to Harnett County and the surrounding communities”
