Coats, N.C. – Harnett County residents no longer have to wait to schedule a local doctor’s appointment. Harnett Health Coats Medical Services is now accepting new patients and walk-ins, no appointment needed.

Harnett Health Coats Medical is located at 25 North Johnson Street in Coats. As a family medicine practice, the clinic cares for patients in all stages of life and provides diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, as well as annual exams and physicals.

Other services include: comprehensive medical history and physical examinations, routine annual exams for men and women, school physicals, vaccinations, hypertension management, lacerations and stitches, and other common health conditions.

Harnett Health Coats Medical is also the educational site for the Family Medicine Residency Program. This Program is in partnership with the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine and is part of a physician’s continued education after graduation from medical school.

“Having these additional physicians in the Harnett Health Coats Medical clinic has increased capacity and scope of services, meaning that patients can get quality care faster and without an appointment” says Cory Hess, Harnett Health’s President.

Walk-ins are welcome any time during scheduled hours. The staff suggests, however, that walk-in patients might want to call ahead to be sure they don’t have to wait while another patient is being helped. The number is (910) 897-6423.

Harnett Health Coats Medical is open on Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm and on Friday from 7:30am until noon. For more information visit our website at www.harnetthealth.org/coats-medical-services/
