Dunn, NC- Harnett Health has received national recognition for the fourth time in less than a year for excelling in patient safety and care. Earlier this month Medicare Hospital Compare ratings were published online and gave Harnett Health Hospitals a four-star rating.
The Medicare Hospital Compare program compiles information of over 4,000 hospitals nationwide, and is intended for individuals to have access to accurate and unbiased information about the quality of care given by hospitals.
“This recognition for the quality of care that we bring to our community is something we are really proud of,” said Harnett Health President Cory Hess. “Our goal at Harnett Health is to be able to provide our community with the best level of care possible right here in Harnett County. All of the recognition that we have received for patient safety and care over the last year shows that you do not need to leave Harnett County to receive high levels of medical care.”
In the past year, Harnett Health has received four awards for excellence in patient safety, care, and efficiency from three independent organizations. This includes both of the Leapfrog Group “A’s” (Spring and Fall), the Healthgrades Patient Safety Award in 2019, and now the Medicare Hospital Scores four-star rating that was just released earlier this month.
The Medicare Hospital Compare ratings is public information that can be viewed at www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare. Harnett Health encourages our community to view these scores to see for themselves how Harnett Health compares to other health facilities in our region.
