Harnett Health is partnering with the Harnett County Arts Council and with Harnett County Schools to establish Bright Impressions, an art exhibit program. The art exhibit will feature art created by Harnett County School students and will be displayed at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington.

“Harnett Health has a tradition of community support and fostering education, so we are excited to lead this effort and for Central Harnett Hospital to be the venue for the art exhibit display,” said Harnett Health President & CEO Ken Bryan.

The exhibit will begin in October with a focus on breast cancer awareness. The art will be changed in November and then starting in January will be  refreshed each calendar quarter. The public is invited to view the exhibit and encouraged to return each quarter to see the new art on display.

Art Competition – Call for Adult Entries

To kick off Bright Impressions, we will have an art competition focused on breast cancer awareness. The winning art will be displayed at Central Harnett Hospital during the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

While the overall exhibit will mainly focus on student art from Harnett County Schools, the kick-off art competition does include an adult category that will be judged by the Harnett County Arts Council. Harnett County based artists at least 18 years old may submit artwork according to the competition rules. Deadline for adult entries is Sunday, September 22.

A flyer with competition details and rules is available online at www.harnetthealth.org under Recent News and through the Harnett County Arts Council at www.harnettarts.org.
