Harnett County, N.C. (August 13, 2012) – Harnett Health System will open the Harnett Health System Business Center in downtown Dunn, N.C. on Monday, August 20, 2012. Five support service departments including the Public Relations & Marketing Department and the Betsy Johnson Hospital Foundation office will relocate from other Harnett Health System facilities into the two-story, 9,000 square feet Business Center. The physical address of the Business Center is 107 E. Broad St. and the mailing address is P.O. Box 1706.
“During the Betsy Johnson Hospital 75th anniversary celebration, Harnett Health System is pleased to continue to invest at the Betsy Johnson Hospital campus and here in downtown Dunn,” said Harnett Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Bryan. “As we grow across the county, including the new Central Harnett Hospital, we have the need to centralize support services and thus create greater efficiencies in operations. The Business Center helps us to do that and utilize the current space at Betsy Johnson Hospital for expanded staff education and training.”
Other positive aspects of creating the Harnett Health System Business Center are the economic impact to downtown Dunn and having the option for community classes outside of Betsy Johnson Hospital.
“By establishing the Harnett Health System Business Center in downtown Dunn, Harnett Health System is now one of the largest employers in downtown,” said Mike Jones, vice president of Support Services. “Bringing more than 30 people to downtown on a daily basis to work will help stimulate the local economy. Our employees will be customers of downtown restaurants and shops.”
Margaret Minuth, director of Public Relations & Marketing, included, “The Business Center has a large conference room on the first floor that we will utilize for community classes led by health professionals. The Business Center has ample parking and easy access to the conference room.”
The Public Relations & Marketing Department employees and the Betsy Johnson Hospital Foundation employees will welcome visitors at the Business Center. The other offices in the Business Center will not be open to the public. Harnett Health System patients needing to make payment arrangements or to make payments in person should visit the cashier in the outpatient waiting room of Betsy Johnson Hospital. Payments cannot be accepted at the Business Center.
Phone numbers and e-mail addresses for employees in the Business Center will not change. To contact employees in the Business Center, please call 910-892-1000.
