Harnett OB/GYN is excited to welcome Rhonda Lovvorn, Nurse Practitioner to the team.
Rhonda has been with Harnett Health System since 1991, beginning as a nurse in the Pediatrics and Medical/Surgical units for a year and has spent the rest of her time (27+ years) in the Labor and Delivery unit at Betsy Johnson Hospital. Rhonda has been a Childbirth Educator since 2004 and is certified in In-Patient Obstetrics. Rhonda received her Master’s in Nursing from Walden University in May 2020 specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner.
“I decided to transition into this new role, seeing OB/GYN patients, because I love taking care of women throughout their lifespan. Women are usually the caregivers for their families and I want to take care of them, making sure that they know they are in good hands with their current and future health needs. Education is also another reason I chose to transition. I have many years of experience and I want to share the knowledge, so going back to school was one way to further my goals.”
“As a healthcare provider I plan on focusing on women’s health with a holistic approach. We are in this together. Women’s wellness (ex. breast health, vaginal health, bladder health), screenings (ex. pap smears, STI testing, mammograms), prenatal care, postpartum care, and birth control methods are some areas of focus.” Said Rhonda Lovvorn, NP.
“Rhonda has a proven track record of providing exceptional care to her patients at Betsy Johnson Hospital. When Rhonda shared with us that she wanted to become a Nurse Practitioner see patients in an practice setting we knew that she would be a great addition to our Harnett OB/GYN team and was the perfect person for the position.” Said Harnett Health President Cory Hess.
