Dunn, NC – Several Harnett Health providers were recently recognized for being voted in the 2018 Best of Harnett awards presented by the Dunn Daily Record. Harnett Health was voted Gold for the “best healthcare facility,” Premiere Pediatrics earned silver for “best pediatric clinic,” Lillington Medical Services PA Madilyn Smith earned Gold and Angier Medical Services’ Dr. Brad Butler earned bronze for the “best doctor.”
“We are proud of our providers and the staff for being voted as the 2018 Best of Harnett. This is a testament to their hard work and commitment to delivering patient-centered care,” said Harnett Health President Cory Hess.
Madilyn Smith and Dr. Butler were recognized, along with the providers of Premiere Pediatrics, during a medical provider meeting at Betsy Johnson Hospital.
“Thank you to everyone who voted for me as one of Harnett County’s best providers,” said Smith. “It is an honor to serve the community and its people. Harnett County has always been my home, and I hope to serve here for a long time.”
Both Smith and Butler are Harnett County natives. Madilyn Smith is from Dunn and is a Campbell University graduate. She also completed her physician assistant program at Duke University and has been practicing as a PA at Lillington Medical since 2016. She recently became certified to perform DOT/ CDL examinations.
Dr. Butler is a Coats native. He attended ECU Brody School of Medicine and completed his residency at Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (SR-AHEC) in Fayetteville. Dr. Butler has been practicing family medicine in Angier since the practice opened in 2009.
Premiere Pediatrics earned silver for “Best Pediatric Practice” for a second year in a row. The clinic has four board certified pediatricians and one certified nurse practitioner. Premiere provides care from newborn to age 18 and offers a free “Welcoming Your New Baby” class.
